A Life in the Spirit Seminar establishes or deepens a person’s relationship with Jesus Christ; and leads the
participant to experience
an awakening of the gifts and fruits
of the HOLY SPIRIT bestowed at Baptism and Confirmation.

After attending a Life In The
Spirit Seminar many have experienced GOD in or more of the
following ways;
v Scripture becomes alive, with words
seemingly jumping out while reading or studying them
v A strong desire for more and deeper prayer
v The LORD’s peace and joy reigning in ways
not previously experienced.

The
Life in the Spirit
Seminar is a proven method for increasing personal
faith commitments throughout the diocese.
Most participants become deeply involved in the faith life of their
individual parishes as lectors, music ministers, parish pastoral councils,
Eucharistic ministers, ushers, RCIA, CCD teachers, and various other
ministries.
The Life in the Spirit Seminar format was developed, and has
evolved over the course of some thirty plus years. Facilitators use “The
Life in the Spirit Seminars, Team Manual,
Catholic Edition”, Word of God Community, Servant Books, Ann Arbor,
Michigan, USA. The seminar consists of the
following eight talks that are
conducted as either a weekend retreat or a series of weekly meetings.
GOD's Love Seminar 1:
Helps participants understand
that God loves them more than anything.
Psalm 139 tells us that God created us lovingly in our mother’s
womb. John 3:16 tells us that God loved
us so much that He sent His only begotten son...
Salvation Seminar 2:
Explains the basics and momentousness
of the Christian message. Participants
will be given the opportunity to deepen their personal relationship with the
Lord Jesus.
The New Life Seminar 3:
Let’s people know that a new
life is available through a fuller perception of the Holy Spirit. Who is the Holy Spirit, and how can He
enrich our lives? This seminar will
teach you how.
Receiving God's
Gifts Seminar 4:
Prepares people to ask in
faith for the full life of the Spirit. Participants
will be shown how to empty their “vessels” so that the Holy Spirit can fill
them up with gifts from heaven.
Healing Touch of God Seminar 5:
Shows participants the
different ways that God can come into our lives and provides healing; forgiveness,
and inner-healing. The Sacrament of
Reconciliation will be provided by active clergy in the charismatic renewal.
Baptism in the Holy
Spirit Seminar 6:
Helps people make an authentic
commitment to Jesus; allows them to awaken the various gifts of God bestowed at
Baptism and Confirmation.
Growth Seminar 7:
Life in the SPIRIT is not just
a one-time experience but the beginning of much more to come. This seminar shows how to grow in the life
of the Spirit. Participants will learn
the “tricks of the trade” and how to actively pursue a new life in Christ
Jesus.
Transformation in
Christ Seminar 8:
To help people avoid
discouragement while "Slugging it out" with everyday problems. Like a butterfly emerges from a cocoon, so
shall we transform into beautiful children of a living God.

service to Parishes and
Organizations
In
the Diocese of Honolulu, HCCRS will provide all the materials and a team to
conduct the Life in the Spirit
Seminars. HCCRS will also work
with
the representatives of the individual parish to meet the specific needs of that
community. All you have to do is
provide the meeting area
and
